Harris Home Health partners with parents and legal guardians to provide dependable in-home care for children with physical, developmental, intellectual, sensory, and medically complex disabilities. Services are personalized through an individualized service plan based on the child's needs, routines, abilities, safety considerations, and family goals.

Family-centered care
Parents and legal guardians are important members of the care team. Before services begin, Harris Home Health will review the child's routines, abilities, communication preferences, medical information, allergies, medications, equipment, emergency needs, safety risks, and requested services.
An individualized service plan will identify:
- The child's needs and personal goals
- Approved caregiver responsibilities
- Preferred routines and activities
- Communication and sensory supports
- Allergies and emergency precautions
- Mobility, feeding, and personal-care instructions
- The approved schedule and frequency of services
- When the caregiver must contact the guardian, supervisor, RN, or 911
Respite care for families
Caring for a child with additional support needs can be rewarding, but families also need dependable opportunities to rest, work, attend appointments, care for other family members, or handle personal responsibilities.
Our respite-care services provide parents and guardians with peace of mind while their child receives attentive and compassionate support at home.
Trained caregivers and clinical oversight
Pediatric caregivers are selected according to each child's needs and assigned responsibilities. Training may include:
- Pediatric CPR and first aid
- Child abuse and neglect reporting
- Infection prevention
- Emergency response
- Seizure and allergy precautions
- Communication and sensory support
- Mobility and transfer safety
- Feeding and aspiration precautions
- Professional boundaries
- Child-specific care-plan training
When nursing services are provided, an RN will oversee the clinical plan, nursing assignments, staff competency, documentation, and medical-compliance requirements.

What ages do you serve?
Pediatric eligibility is determined through an assessment of the child's age, needs, requested services, caregiver availability, and the services Harris Home Health is currently authorized and equipped to provide.
Do you provide respite care?
Yes. Respite care gives parents and legal guardians dependable support while they rest, work, attend appointments, care for other family members, or handle personal responsibilities.
Can you care for children with autism or developmental disabilities?
We may provide personalized assistance to children with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and other special healthcare needs when their requested care is within our approved service scope and staffing capabilities.
Do you provide pediatric nursing?
Skilled pediatric nursing may be available when the service is supported by appropriate medical orders, authorization, qualified nursing staff, and RN clinical oversight.
Do you accept Medicaid or GAPP?

Do you provide transportation?
No. Harris Home Health does not provide transportation services.
How is my child's care planned?
Before services begin, Harris Home Health works with the parent or legal guardian to assess the child's needs and create an individualized service plan. The plan identifies approved tasks, routines, precautions, goals, scheduling, emergency instructions, and communication expectations.
Services are subject to assessment, caregiver availability, Harris Home Health's active license, staff qualifications, payer authorization, and an approved individualized service plan. Skilled nursing services require appropriate medical orders, authorization, licensed clinical personnel, and RN oversight. Harris Home Health does not provide emergency medical services or transportation. Call 911 during a medical emergency.
