Transportation Notice: Harris Home Health does not provide transportation and does not operate vehicles for client transportation. Transportation must be arranged and provided by the client, family, responsible party, rideshare service, medical transportation company, or another transportation provider. Caregiver accompaniment must be included in the client's service plan.

Frequently asked questions
Is companion care the same as personal care?
No. Companion care focuses on social support, activities, supervision, and light household help. Hands-on help with bathing, dressing, or toileting falls under personal care assistance.
How many hours can we book?
We schedule in blocks of five hours or more. Many families start with a few visits a week and expand from there.
Can a caregiver come along to appointments?
Yes. Through Appointment Escort & Community Accompaniment, a caregiver can accompany the client to approved appointments and activities when it is included in the service plan. Harris Home Health does not provide transportation; travel is arranged by the client, family, or a transportation provider.
Services are non-medical and are based on each client's individual assessment, care plan, caregiver availability, and applicable Georgia requirements.
