A Harris Home Health caregiver may accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, community activities, and other approved destinations. The caregiver can provide companionship, mobility support, check-in assistance, note-taking support when authorized, and help the client safely navigate the appointment or activity.
Transportation Notice: Harris Home Health does not provide transportation and does not operate vehicles for client transportation. Transportation must be arranged and provided by the client, family, responsible party, rideshare service, medical transportation company, or another transportation provider. Caregiver accompaniment must be included in the client's service plan.

How is accompaniment approved?
Caregiver accompaniment must be included in the client's service plan. We review destinations, timing, and support needs during the assessment and add them to the plan.
Services are non-medical and are based on each client's individual assessment, care plan, caregiver availability, and applicable Georgia requirements.
